TERRAZ respects your privacy and is committed to handling your personal data responsibly and transparently.

This Privacy Policy explains the types of information we may collect when you use the TERRAZ mobile application, website, and related services, why we use that information, the parties with whom it may be shared, and the choices and rights available to you.

By using the TERRAZ Platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Where applicable law requires your consent for particular processing, we will request it through an appropriate method.

TERRAZ is operated by Terraz Kuwait for Product Promotion Company in the State of Kuwait, referred to in this Policy as "TERRAZ", "we", "us", or "our".

1. Information We Collect

1. Account information: such as your name, phone number, email address, and login information required to create and manage your account.
2. Password: your password is stored using secure methods and is not retained as readable plain text. TERRAZ personnel cannot view your original password.
3. Order and delivery information: such as your name, phone number, country, area, address, location or building details when provided, and delivery instructions.
4. Order information: such as products ordered, quantities, prices, discounts, delivery charges, order status, seller, and order history.
5. Payment and transaction information: such as the selected payment method, transaction amount, currency, transaction reference, and payment status. TERRAZ does not intentionally retain your complete payment-card number or card PIN.
6. Loyalty information: such as points earned or redeemed, transactions eligible for points, and adjustments resulting from cancellations or returns.
7. Chat and support information: such as communications with sellers or customer support, complaints, inquiries, and information you provide when requesting assistance.
8. Reviews and content: such as product or store ratings, reviews, and other content you choose to submit through the Platform.
9. Device and technical information: may include device type, operating system, application version, language, Internet Protocol (IP) address, technical identifiers, error and performance logs, and information necessary to operate and secure the Platform.
10. Notification information: we may retain a technical device identifier or push-notification token required to send order, account, and service notifications.
11. Location information: if you choose to use location features and grant the required permission, we may use your device location to assist with entering a delivery address or providing location-dependent functionality.
12. Seller information: if you are a seller, we may collect your store name, contact details, product information, uploaded images and content, order and sales information, and information required to administer the seller account and related settlements.

2. How We Obtain Information

1. We receive information directly from you when you register, update your account, place an order, enter an address, or contact us.
2. Certain information may be collected automatically when you use the application or website, including technical, operational, and security data.
3. We may receive transaction-related information from payment providers, such as confirmation of a successful or failed transaction and its reference number, without TERRAZ receiving your complete card details.
4. We may receive delivery-related information from a seller or delivery provider where necessary to fulfill or update an order.
5. We may receive information from technology providers that assist us in operating the Platform, subject to the applicable purpose and permissions.

3. Why We Use Your Information

1. To create, verify, and manage your account.
2. To process, confirm, fulfill, and track orders.
3. To deliver products to the address you provide.
4. To process payments, reconcile transactions, and handle refunds where due.
5. To enable sellers to prepare and fulfill your orders.
6. To administer the TERRAZ loyalty program and calculate, award, redeem, or correct points according to program rules.
7. To provide chat functions, customer support, and responses to inquiries, complaints, and disputes.
8. To send notifications relating to orders, payments, delivery, accounts, security, and service matters.
9. To detect fraud, misuse, unauthorized activity, and threats to customers, sellers, or the Platform.
10. To improve application performance and user experience and identify technical errors.
11. To conduct statistical and operational analysis that assists us in developing TERRAZ services.
12. To send promotions or marketing communications where permitted and appropriate, with an option to stop them where applicable.
13. To comply with legal and regulatory obligations and requests from competent authorities.

4. Payments and Card Information

1. Payments are processed through specialized payment service providers.
2. Information necessary to complete the transaction, such as the order amount, currency, and order or transaction reference, may be sent to the payment provider.
3. TERRAZ does not intentionally retain your complete payment-card number, PIN, or confidential card verification code after it is submitted to the payment provider.
4. TERRAZ may retain the transaction reference, payment status, amount, currency, and information required for reconciliation, disputes, and refunds.
5. Information processed directly by a payment provider is also subject to that provider's own privacy policy and terms.

5. Sharing Information With Sellers

1. Because TERRAZ is a multi-vendor marketplace, we share information with the relevant seller where necessary to fulfill your order.
2. This may include the customer's name, necessary contact details, products ordered, and information required for delivery.
3. Sellers do not receive your complete payment-card number or PIN from TERRAZ.
4. Sellers must use customer information only for lawful purposes connected to the order, service, and their applicable legal obligations.
5. TERRAZ may restrict or suspend a seller that misuses customer information or violates Platform policies.

6. Sharing Information With Service Providers

1. We may share the minimum information necessary with delivery providers to fulfill and deliver orders.
2. We may share necessary information with payment service providers to process payments, refunds, and transaction verification.
3. We may use providers of hosting, computing, databases, backups, email, notifications, and technical support.
4. We may use performance-analysis services to identify faults and improve the Platform.
5. We do not authorize our service providers to use your information for unrelated independent purposes unless they have a separate lawful basis and a direct relationship with you.
6. Some providers may operate or host information outside the State of Kuwait. Transfers are handled subject to applicable legal requirements and appropriate levels of protection.

7. Government Authorities and Legal Requirements

1. We may disclose specific information where required by law, an order, or a request from a competent authority.
2. We may use or disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect the rights of TERRAZ, its users, or sellers, investigate fraud or unlawful conduct, or establish or defend a legal claim.

8. Sale or Corporate Restructuring

1. If TERRAZ undergoes a merger, acquisition, restructuring, or transfer of ownership of all or part of its business, information associated with the service may be transferred to the relevant new entity as part of that transaction.
2. Any such transfer will be subject to applicable law, and the receiving party will be required to handle the information in accordance with relevant legal obligations.

9. Technical Data and Analytics

1. We may collect technical information about use of the Platform to understand performance, identify faults, protect the service, and improve user experience.
2. This information may include device type, operating system, application version, IP address, usage times, features or pages used, and error logs.
3. We may use aggregated or de-identified information to produce statistics and analysis that are not intended to identify a particular user.
4. We do not sell your personal information to advertisers for money.
5. If TERRAZ uses technology in the future that requires operating-system permission for tracking or access to an advertising identifier, the required permission will be requested before such use where legally required.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

1. The TERRAZ website may use cookies, local storage, or similar technologies for login, session management, essential functionality, performance, and security.
2. The application may use similar local-storage technologies to retain settings or session information required for the service.

11. Notifications and Communications

1. We may send necessary notifications relating to your orders, payments, delivery, account, security, or important service matters.
2. We may send promotional communications where permitted.
3. You may disable application notifications through your device settings, although doing so may prevent some order and service notifications from being displayed.
4. Marketing communications may be stopped through the method provided in the message or by contacting us where applicable.

12. Data Security

1. We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, alteration, disclosure, or misuse.
2. Depending on the type of data and service, these measures may include access controls, protected communications, secured servers and databases, security monitoring, and backups.
3. Passwords are not stored by us as readable plain text.
4. No electronic system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. We therefore review and develop security measures according to relevant risks and needs.
5. Users are responsible for protecting their devices and login credentials and must not share passwords or verification codes with others.

13. How Long We Keep Information

15. Account Deletion

1. You may request deletion of your TERRAZ account through the option available in the application or by contacting us.

4. Account deletion does not require us to delete records that must be retained by law, including certain order, payment, accounting, or active-dispute records.
5. If an order, refund, or other obligation remains pending, deletion of information necessary for that process may be delayed until the relevant matter is completed.

16. Children

1. TERRAZ does not seek to collect personal information independently from children where parental or guardian consent is legally required.
2. Where a user is below the age at which they may lawfully provide consent on their own, use of the service and provision of personal information must take place with the consent of a parent or legal guardian where required.
3. If we become aware that a child's information has been collected contrary to applicable legal requirements, we will take appropriate action to address or delete it.

1. The Platform may contain links or functions leading to websites or services operated by other parties.
2. Information you provide directly to those parties is governed by their own privacy policies.
3. TERRAZ does not control the privacy practices of independent websites or services that it does not operate, and we recommend reviewing their policies before providing personal information.

18. Seller Information

1. TERRAZ collects information necessary to create and administer store and seller accounts and operate marketplace sales.
2. This may include information relating to account owners or authorized persons, store and contact details, products, images, orders, sales, settlements, and information necessary for verification and compliance.
3. This information is used to administer stores, fulfill orders, provide support, maintain records, and manage the relationship between TERRAZ and the seller.
4. TERRAZ may request additional documents or information to verify a seller's identity, authority, or lawful business activity where required.

19. Accuracy of Your Information

1. You must provide accurate and up-to-date information.
2. Certain account and address information may be updated through features available in the application.
3. If you cannot update particular information yourself, you may contact us to request correction.
4. Inaccurate information, particularly contact or delivery details, may prevent us from providing certain services or successfully fulfilling an order.

20. Changes to This Privacy Policy

1. We may update this Privacy Policy when TERRAZ services are developed, our processing practices change, or new legal or regulatory requirements apply.
2. The updated version will be published through the Platform with the latest revision date.
